Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Sittin at the bar,
under a neon glow,
With a heartache,
and nowhere to go.
The whiskey warm,
The engine now cold,
Since she walked away,
he's losing control.
[Chorus]
He now trucks from a barstool,
with his co driver Jack!
Tellin stories about his love,
how he'd like to get her back!
No more turn arounds,
Can't seem to backtrack!
Trucking down,
Memory Lane and back,
With his new,
Co-Driver Jack!
[Verse 2]
Bartender pours a shot,
along with a beer!
He shifts his memories,
into a higher gear!
Racing down the grade,
thru the twists and turns!
Trying hard to stop,
the break now burns!
She did him in,
now he's goin down Fast!
At the bottom of a glass,
he's headed for a crash!
[Chorus]
He now trucks from a barstool,
with his co driver Jack!
Tellin stories about his love,
how he'd like to get her back!
No more turn arounds,
Can't seem to backtrack!
Trucking down,
Memory Lane and back,
With his new,
Co-Driver Jack!
[Verse 3]
He tells ol Jack,
how she broke his heart!
He and ol Jack,
this memory they'll start!
Ease onto the highway,
speeds up a lil faster!
They keep shifting gears,
Love life and career a disaster!
[Chorus]
He now trucks from a barstool,
with his co driver Jack!
Tellin stories about his love,
how he'd like to get her back!
No more turn arounds,
Can't seem to backtrack!
Trucking down,
Memory Lane and back,
With his new,
Co-Driver Jack!
[Outro]
To the miles, and
The roads he use to roam,
To the love that he'd cherish,
and a stool he now calls home.
With Jack by his side,
he’ll keep driving on!
The highway of his past,
till headlights fade at dawn!
They’ll truck down memory lane,
through his tears and pain,
A heartbroken trucker....
With his Co-Driver Jack,
Trucking down Memory Lane.....
and back!!!!
[Chorus]
He now trucks from a barstool,
with his co driver Jack!
Tellin stories about his love,
how he'd like to get her back!
No more turn arounds,
Can't seem to backtrack!
Trucking down,
Memory Lane and back,
With his new,
Co-Driver Jack!
