Lyrics

[Intro]
(Verse 1)
Cruisin’ up n down the highway,
Livin’ life wild and free,
Got a load of goods behind me,
Bringin’ what y’all all need.
When truckers hit your little towns,
We see those frowns… and sighs,
You hate to see my big ol’ rig,
But I’m just here tryin’ to survive.
---
[Chorus]
They don’t want our big trucks in their way,
Wavin’ their hands, tellin’ us to go away.
If you stop buyin’ all that stuff,
There’d be no trucks rollin’, life would get really tough.
Keep on shoppin’, we’ll keep on rollin’,
Through the towns and cities, our stacks blowin’,
Our rig still strollin’!
So, stop your damn bawlin’,
Let us just keep on haulin’!
---
Whoa-oh!
Keep on truckin’, we’re just doin’ our thing,
Life on the road, hear that engine sing!
Whoa-oh!
Big rigs rollin’, can’t stop the flow,
We’re the backbone, so let it show!
---
[Verse 2]
We see the signs sayin’, “No trucks allowed,”
As if we’re not a part of this big ol’ crowd.
Everything you have, it all comes from truckers like me,
We’re just a piece of the puzzle, in this country’s economy.
The scales are weighin’ heavy, the rules are set in stone,
We can’t pull in for some groceries,
Everything’s a no big trucks zone!
---
[Chorus]
They don’t want our big trucks in their way,
Wavin’ their hands, tellin’ us to go away.
If you stop buyin’ all that stuff,
There’d be no trucks rollin’, life would get really tough.
Keep on shoppin’, we’ll keep on rollin’,
Through the towns and cities, our stacks blowin’,
Our rig still strollin’!
So, stop your damn bawlin’,
Let us just keep on haulin’!
---
[Bridge]
We’re the lifeline of the nation, day and night we drive,
Deliverin’ your dreams, keepin’ folks alive.
When you see us comin’, give a little wave,
'Cause without our big rig, you’d be livin’ in a cave.
---
Whoa-oh!
Keep on truckin’, we’re just doin’ our thing,
Life on the road, hear that engine sing!
Whoa-oh!
Big rigs rollin’, can’t stop the flow,
We’re the backbone, so let it show!
---
[Outro]
Next time you see us, give us a thumbs up!
We’re just doin’ our job, hell, maybe buy us a cup!
We’re all in this together, this country we live in,
So let’s keep truckin’ on, until the very end.
