Lyrics

[Chorus]
Sittin in the dock,
watching the clock!
Trailer locked,
tires chocked!
Walk to the window,
KNOCK!
After a half mile walk!
Bathroom blocked!
Vending unstocked!
Now,
Damn tired and hot!
A Flatbed in the bay,
there all day!
being trapped!
Load now strapped,
in a tarp fully wrapped
Getting on his way,
Need a place to stay!
Plans now all scrapped,
fingers and lips are chapped!
New plan all mapped
Ready to roll after he napped!!
[Chorus]
Waiting on them to load,
Again, when time to unload!
Traffic backed up now slowed,
miss the turn to take the backroad!
Just another trucker,
in a world that couldn’t care!
Another shipper or receiver,
with the cold stare!
Sittin in the dock,
my hands on the wheel!
Need to get rolling,
thinking this can’t be for real!
Brokers lies on the shippers bills!
Less miles and pay for our skills!
Telling us the loads a good deal!
All they do is lie and steal,
Nobody knows how we really feel,
While sitting in our cabs of steel!
[Chorus]
Waiting on them to load,
Again, when time to unload!
Traffic backed up now slowed,
miss the turn to take the backroad!
Just another trucker,
in a world that couldn’t care!
Another shipper or receiver,
with the cold stare!
Sittin in the dock,
my hands on the wheel!
Need to get rolling,
thinking this can’t be for real!
Hours turn into all day,
Like anybody else,
we have bills to pay!
Not their problem they say,
soon you’ll be on your way!
With a smile we don’t hide,
a heart full of pride,
We keep on truckin,
as if the world’s on our side!
[Chorus]
Waiting on them to load,
Again, when time to unload!
Traffic backed up now slowed,
miss the turn to take the backroad!
Just another trucker,
in a world that couldn’t care!
Another shipper or receiver,
with the cold stare!
Sittin in the dock,
my hands on the wheel!
Need to get rolling,
thinking this can’t be for real!
(Outro)
My fellow truckers who stay strong,
We’ll keep on movin’, we’ll keep on truckin’ along,
After the docks and the delay,
we’ll finally be on our way,
In a world where time we pay!
Sittin in a Dock,
is the game they play!!
